I do not typically review purchases, but I will give my time and thoughts to this company. I absolutely adore Rural Mercantile. I have made small purchases on accessories here in the past - this piece is the first article of real clothing I actually had to go for and get a taste of the quality of apparel they carry. I am hooked. This is a great quality jacket/coat that I would wear all year long. In the northeast, we have eight months of cold weather; spring has cold mornings and evenings and summer can have some cool times of the day depending on nature’s mood. This jacket caught my eye over the winter, but I was thumbing my mind around it because I speculated on the quality. When this went on sale I decided it would not hurt to give Rural Mercantile’s apparel a try and I am super glad I did. I absolutely love my camo jacket! It is well constructed with metal zip up and button closure for security. Bonus is the fashion design with the cinching detail on the back and waist. Based on the online sizing guide, the suggestion would list me under large, but all that was available at sale price was a small. I went ahead and bit the bullet with the small and I am glad I did. It fits me perfectly that the sleeves fall just right at the hands and wrists. It closes up perfectly and does not impede on range of motion even if I chose to wear a sweater underneath. It provides adequate warmth without the unnecessary bulk. I have even played with it being layered with Rural’s “Nothing Like You” in both black and red buffalo plaid and tweed vests. All in all the material/product/company is great quality. Rural Mercantile is stuck with me for life.
